Introduction

Bhutan is a country rich in arts and culture. Arts and culture have always played a major role in human life. Arts and culture which bring peace and joy at the end of the day and it is the main identity of a nation to understand the world around us. Moreover, arts and culture builds the country as it preserves our culture and heritage


1.Male dress(Gho)

It is widely known as Bhutan is a land rich in culture, lifestyle and human belief. Our ancestors preserved and brought beautiful dresses as a national identity Which foreigners loved too. In Bhutan men wear a Gho, which is a long robe called (kayra) tied around the waist and put at the knee, in the back the shape should be  H shape. And also we need white clothes called (lagay) which represent human kind. When we wear Gho we can see a big pocket called (Hamcho) which can store any necessities. Gho is comfortable to wear and a unique dress compared to other countries.


2.Female Dress(Kira)

Kira  is a beautiful dress Bhutanese women wear in Bhutan, it looks very bright and attractive with meaning. Women wear 5 different types. Firstly, they wear silky cloth called (Wonjo) which represents humbleness and kindness to others. Secondly, they wear Kira, put a Silver brooches called (korma) on their shoulders to keep the tide and comfortable. After that long robe called (Kayra) tied around the waist and It represents identity and pride being Bhutanese. Thirdly, they wear colorful silky cloth called (Tegho) which represents prosperity, wealth and perfection. 


3.Festival in Bhutan

Bhutanese celebrate lots of festivals usually called Tshechu. Thimphu Tshechu is the one  which is popular and commonly celebrated in Bhutan. In Tshechu the men have to wear Gho with white Kabney and women have to wear Kira with beautiful Rachu. In festival we can see different kinds of  beautiful dresses and types of dresses worn by men and women. Tshechu is celebrated Five to six days with lots of  performances like mask dances, culture dance, jokes by Atsera and blessings from lama and Rinpoche. Tshechu is very interesting and most people are having fun and enjoying it.


4.Arts and language in Bhutan

We can see unique arts and types of arts in Bhutan. Mostly we Bhutanese art like waving, painting, sculpture, Carpentry, bamboo waving and blacksmithing. We can see different types of arts and shapes in the monastery, Lhakhang, guest house and buildings. We Bhutanese speak Dzongkha as the national language and English as the international language. We Bhutanese have 20 languages and most commonly 5 spoken languages like Sharshob, Lotsem, Ngalop, Kurtey and Khangkha. 


Conclusion

Bhutanese culture and Arts is a main national identity, an important role to develop the nation and  unique from other countries. Culture and Arts is mostly preserved by the Bhutanese under one leadership with happiness and peace. Our Arts and culture is not famous but some foreigners love our dresses, festivals, Arts like waving, painting, sculpture, Carpentry, bamboo waving and blacksmithing. Dzongkha is a main language Bhutanese communicate with each other and Gho and Kira are national dresses.
